Iran - Seven faces of civilization
Gliding across a Wormhole into the Past, beyond the limits of time itself, a theoretical time-traveler might find the glimmering lights of the
Dawn of Human History, at about Seven Thousand Years ago, where lies a civilization so ancient that it is rightfully called one of the "Cradles of
Civilization", which was once a brilliant, tolerant empire at the crossroads of civilization: THE PERSIAN EMPIRE, a world of artistic forms and
shapes a dazzling mirage of brilliant colors, geometrical structures and architectural marvels recreated for the first time'.
The Persian
civilization is located at the very heart of Southern Asia, delineated by the Caspian Sea in the North and the Persian Gulf & the Sea of Oman in
the south, in an area where Central Eurasia and Western Asia meet.
The earliest archaeological artifacts in Iran were found in the Kashafrud
and Ganj Par sites that date back to the Lower Paleolithic era. Mousterian Stone tools made by Neanderthal man have also been found. Early
agricultural communities such as Chogha Bonut in 8000 BC, Susa (now a city still existing since 7000 BC) and Chogha Mish dating back to 6800
BC.
