Indoiráni párhuzamok a magyar őstörténetben

Z. Tóth Csaba

A Szintasta-Andronovo kultúrák egyes csoportjai, a fjodorovo-alakuliak i.e. 1750-1500 körül behatoltak a transzuráli erdőövbe, gyarmatosították a területet és lakóit, majd néhány száz év múlva visszaköltöztek az Urál-Volga-térségbe, ahol a Cserkaszkul-Mezsovka régészeti emlékeket hagyták hátra ; ekkortól jöhettek létre a protoiráni-protofinnugor, azaz ősmagyar/ősszavárd és ősuráli kapcsolatok.

The History of Late Antique Iran

Prof. Touraj Daryaee

The history of Near East and Central Asia during the Sasanian Empire (224-651 CE) has until recently received little attention. Those who have studied this period in history have come from different disciplines and most were not specialists of Sasanian history. How is it that this period is neglected in Near Eastern Studies?

Perzsa művészet a Qádzsár-korban

Iran - Seven faces of civilization

Gliding across a Wormhole into the Past, beyond the limits of time itself, a theoretical time-traveler might find the glimmering lights of the Dawn of Human History, at about Seven Thousand Years ago, where lies a civilization so ancient that it is rightfully called one of the Cradles of Civilization, which was once a brilliant, tolerant empire at the crossroads of civilization: THE PERSIAN EMPIRE, a world of artistic forms and shapes a dazzling mirage of brilliant colors, geometrical structures and architectural marvels recreated for the first time.

The Seven Great Monarchies: New Persian Empire

George Rawlinson

When the great Empire of the Persians, founded by Cyrus, collapsed under the attack of Alexander the Great, the dominant race of Western Asia did not feel itself at the first reduced to an intolerable condition. It was the benevolent design of Alexander to fuse into one the two leading peoples of Europe and Asia, and to establish himself at the head of a Perso-Hellenic State, the capital of which was to have been Babylon.

The Seven Great Monarchies: Persia

George Rawlinson

Persia Proper seems to have corresponded nearly to that province of the modern Iran, which still bears the ancient name slightly modified, being called Farsistan or Fars. The chief important difference between the two is, that whereas in modern times the tract called Herman is regarded as a distinct and separate region, Carmania anciently was included within the limits of Persia.

Old Persian More Commonly Used Than Previously Thought

ScienceDaily.com

For the first time, a text has been found in Old Persian language that shows the written language in use for practical recording and not only for royal display. The text is inscribed on a damaged clay tablet from the Persepolis Fortification Archive, now at the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago. The tablet is an administrative record of the payout of at least 600 quarts of an as-yet unidentified commodity at five villages near Persepolis in about 500 B.C.
